Privacy Policy
Effective 10 October 2026
Mostly Daily collects no data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
Where your data lives
- On your devices: your habits, your check-ins, your settings, and everything the app computes from them.
- Your private iCloud: habits, the check-ins you make yourself for Build habits, time off, the “Set up your space” steps you write for a habit (they sync with the habit’s settings and are never health data), and your settings (including, for a drinks habit, the number of drinks a week you had before starting) sync between your devices through your own iCloud account. The logs of a Limit habit sync only if you turn on “Sync logs through iCloud” for that habit; it is off by default. We can't read any of this; Apple's terms apply.
- This device only, never iCloud: check-ins that Mostly Daily made for you from Apple Health; every log of drinks and cigarettes, whatever the settings; the logs of other Limit habits unless you turn on “Sync logs through iCloud” for that habit; the reason you give for time off (the dates sync, the reason stays here); and the optional “Your day” list of what you do in a day, which is not in iCloud, widgets or the CSV export. The optional reason you add to a Limit log is kept with that log, so it stays on this device for drinks and cigarettes and for other Limit habits unless you turn on sync for that habit, and it is never written to Apple Health. A second device fills Health-based days from its own Apple Health. Like any app's data, this part is included in your encrypted device backup.
- Apple Health (optional): only when you allow it, and only for the habits you link. Mostly Daily may read steps, exercise minutes, mindful minutes, sleep, stand hours, water, workouts and Number of Alcoholic Beverages (including drinks other apps logged, up to two years back) to check habits in for you, and may write Number of Alcoholic Beverages for the drinks you log in the app, and, only if you turn it on for a habit, Mindful Minutes or Water. Health data is used on your device, is never stored in iCloud by the app, and is never sent to us. Manage access in the Health app > Sharing > Apps > Mostly Daily, or in Settings > Apple Health in Mostly Daily.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple. We don't receive your payment details.
Your choices
Export everything as CSV, or delete all data, in Settings. Deleting the app removes its data from the device; data in your iCloud can be deleted in Settings > Apple Account > iCloud; data you saved to Apple Health stays in Health until you delete it there.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
